Return and Warranty Policies

Before Returning A Collar or Lead for Any Reason: Please be sure you have read all of the information below.

Before returning a Collar or Lead, PLEASE CALL US. We may be able to resolve any issues that you are having with the collar before you take the time to return it to us.  If nothing else, we want to know that it's coming so that we'll be looking for the collar to arrive.  Our contact information is on the Contact page.  When ever you are returning a product for ANY reason, You must INCLUDE YOUR Name, Address, Phone #, Email Address and Order Number INSIDE THE PACKAGE with the product so that we can get in touch with you if needed!


We stand behind the workmanship of all of our products and we have a 1 year warranty on the workmanship of our products (One year from the date of purchase.)  This does not cover damage or wear from use or neglect.  If any of our products suffer from failure due to workmanship, we will fix or replace the product free of charge at Keeper Collars discretion.  Please call and talk to us before sending. If we tell you to send the collar in, you must include your name, address and phone number along on a note in the package stating what needs to be done. We cannot warranty ribbon against wear and tear. Ribbon WILL fray if it is scratched at, rubbed on or chewed. Ribbon wear is NOT covered by our workmanship warranty. To avoid ribbon wear problems, consider our Level 1 Mamba Collars in either Flat or Hidden Prong. Individual components are not covered under the warranty.  

Returning for a Refund:

If you order a Night Walker Lead or a non-custom collar and it needs to be returned to us for a refund, it must be in undamaged "LIKE NEW" condition and within 30 days from date of purchase. You can do a replacement with a different collar of a same size and value from the Favorites Collection or if you want a refund the following conditions must be met.

Any item returned for a refund will be charged a restocking fee of 15%.

Shipping is NOT refundable. Undamaged means that the collar or lead must be in "Like New" condition, not worn, used, dirty, chewed, slobbered on, water damaged or damaged in any other way. 


Adjustments and Modifications on NEW collars (under 30 days):

For any collar with a tug (Keeper Hidden Prong Collars, Martingales, Vegas Style, etc.) If the collar is not the correct size, we can make the collar larger by changing the length of the tug. To make a collar shorter, we will need to disassemble the collar and one or more prongs will need to be removed, depending on how much shorter the collar has to be made. We will resize a collar ONE time as long as the collar is returned to us within 30 days from when the order was shipped to you. Collars shipped after this time will be subject to an alteration fee. To have a NEW collar resized, ship the collar to us and we can shorten, lengthen or replace a tug. To do this, you will need to pay for the return shipping which can be found on the Upgrade page for a cost of $9. This fee includes USA 48 states shipping cost to return the collar to you. Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii or shipping to anywhere outside the USA will be an additional charge. Please contact us for more information on shipping. Please include your name, address, phone number and return shipping order number inside the package with the collar when you send it. Also include a brief description of the work that needs to be done to the collar. Please be sure to watch the brief videos on our Home Page about measuring your dog and sizing your collar. Please measure carefully for the correct fit.

Adjustments and Modifications on Collars After 30 Days from the Date of Purchase:

If it has been more than 30 days from the date the collars was purchased, you will need to pay for any work done on the collar. To do this, go to the Upgrade page and purchase the Alterations and Repairs upgrade. Work included under Alterations and Repairs includes making the collar larger or smaller by changing the length of the tug (for collars with a tug), fixing chewed tugs or broken snap buckles, and other minor repairs. Work NOT included under Repairs and Alterations are replacement of ribbon or leather. You can purchase an Alteration and Repair service on our Upgrade page.

If you purchase an Alteration and Repair Order and we do not receive your collar within 30 days of the date of that Alteration and Repair Order purchase your order will be refunded and cancelled.

We can not accept returns on custom collars and leads:

For custom ordered collars and leads, we cannot accept returns for any reason other than defects in workmanship which are covered by our 1 year limited warranty (see above). In the case of defects in workmanship, we will repair the collar and return it to you.

Custom Collars are defined as:

A collar from the custom pages or any collar that has been modified by either adding upgrade(s) from the Upgrades page or any modifications or alterations made to the collar by the owner or on the owner’s behalf. Since all Keeper's Leads (Except the Night Walker Leads) are custom designed (webbing, leather and ribbon selected by the buyer, similar to a custom collar.), Keeper's Leads are not returnable for a refund except under warranty for defects in workmanship.
